Flashlight presents....

From theatres, art galleries and cafes, to libraries, festivals and house concerts, Flashlight True Life storytellers are proud to come together to share their stories and have performed at some of Birmingham's leading venues, including The REP and IKON. 

A Flashlight show will take you on a journey through the personal lives of each teller, interweaving tales that travel from far away lands to stories of the everyday on shores a little closer to home. You'll laugh and you'll cry, but you'll always be left wanting more....

It's a New Year and a fresh new start for Flashlight Storytellers and we are back in full swing with an array of new shows and exciting ventures.

Flirt Off!
6th April, 7.30pm
 The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre

Hosted by the seductive storyteller herself, Ms Cat Weatherill,

Flirt Off will feature true stories of dating and relationships. Saucy, sexy, toe-curling, touching, loving, suprising, heart-warming or heart- shredding... However it was for you, we want to hear about it!

This is your chance to tell your story live on stage in an initmate cabaret sytle setting.

Tantalising True Life Tales

Local storyteller Tom Phillips, brings his troupe of storytellers, Flashlight, to BCAF for the first time, for a truly uniqure evening of seven minute stories.

The Road to Varanasi

True Life Tales Workshop

Working in informal goups, local storyteller Tom Phillips.willbe hosting a guided workshop to learn how to find and tell your true life stories to others.

This will then lead on to the chance to tell your stories to friends and family and locals in the evening show. So come along and have a go.

This is a free entry workshop and event.

Jamface

Set in a rich diversity of locations, Jamface took our audience on a journey of true life stories from the wild English countryside, the jungles of Peru, a retrospective of Cape Town to the storytelling fireside of Croatia, to name but a few...

And if you want to know what the story Jamface is about…it’s proving an audience favourite.  It defies description until you hear it.

Love and Chocolates

A one-off Valentine's special, with tales of love lost and found, saw our audience embark on a rollercoaster ride of stories about love, life and the places love can take you...with chocolate!

Our tales ranged from the romantic to the hilarious, the sentimental to the almost unbelievable - but always true!
